Watch Repair

Watch Repair

Fine timepieces, like fine sports cars, require “tune-ups”. Luckily we recommend servicing a fine watch every 5 years to keep it oiled, sealed, and running smoothly. So where do you go when your faithful watch needs maintenance? That’s right…Jewelry by Andrew. From changing a watch battery and removing watch bracelet links to overhauling a waterlogged timepiece, Jewelry by Andrew can help. JBA’s outstanding watch maker is highly trained and certified to work on fine Swiss watches such as Rolex, Breitling, Cartier, Omega, and Ebel, insuring that any needed replacement parts will be 100% genuine. All watch brands are serviced with the same care and precision, whether a 5-year old Seiko or a 100 year old pocket watch. We guarantee all of our fine watch servicing for 1 year, so you know that we will take care of you.
In addition to servicing watch movements, we fix and replace broken pins, replace watch buckles, replace watch crowns, replace watch crystals, polish watch cases and bracelets, and appraise watches. We carry a large selection of leather watch straps in many colors and metal watch bracelets and can help you customize and update the look of any watch.
Most of the time we replace watch batteries and shorten watch bracelets while you wait. Other services, such as a COA (clean, oil, adjust) on a Rolex can take 2-3 weeks because of the time needed to verify calibration and pressure testing. Refinishing an old dial takes about 5 weeks. Most other services fall within the 1-2 week time frame.
While we make every effort to get your watch back to you as quickly as possible, we never begin any work without verbal approval by the customer, so that you will be aware of the needed service and the cost of that service up front. We don’t surprise you with hidden charges and guarantee the best watch service pricing in town!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!
“I had an antique watch that had been my Mom’s.  It had a wind-up movement but it stopped working.  I took it to Jewelry by Andrew based on a friend’s recommendation.  Their watchmaker looked at my watch and told me that the parts were no longer available.  However, he suggested that I install a new quartz movement so that I could continue to wear and enjoy the watch.  Well, I decided to have this done and I am so happy that I did.  The watch keeps perfect time, much better than when I had to wind it.  Thanks, and I’ll be back with jewelry repairs!”

“I brought my Rolex President to Jewelry by Andrew because the store is close to my home.  I had been down at the lake and dropped my watch in the water, not realizing that the stem was out.  My watch was completely wet inside and not running. I got a call saying that the watch needed a cleaning and new gaskets, and that the mainspring was bad.  They told me what it would cost to fix the watch, and also what it would cost to refinish the band and case to make the watch look like new.  Well, 3 weeks later I get a call saying that my watch was ready. Unbelievable.  My watch looked brand new and has been keeping perfect time since then (it used to run a little slow).  I have had my watch worked on elsewhere in town, and this fabulous service cost me less than half of what it did the last time I had my watch fixed.  Go see Andrew if you have a Rolex to fix…you won’t be sorry!!!”

“I wanted to update some old Omega watches for my twin boys for graduation.  These were 14k gold watches on old leather bands.  The watches were scratched and the bands were broken.  I have bought wonderful custom pieces from Andrew and brought these to him to get some ideas.  His wife, Bozena, showed me some beautiful crocodile straps.  She suggested that I have the watches polished and the old crystals replaced, and also suggested that I have the boys’ initials and date of graduation engraved on the back of the watches.  I only had 1 week until graduation, but they got everything done for me and the boys were thrilled.  Thanks again, Jewelry by Andrew.  You’re the best!”
